SC Revolutionary Rivers - National Water Trail

The SC Revolutionary Rivers Trail® follows the scenic Lynches River from the Lynches River County Park to the cypress and tupelo-laden stomping grounds of Revolutionary War hero, Gen. Francis Marion. Marion and his band of militia could simply disappear into the cypress swamplands, earning him the name Swamp Fox. Designated as a National Water Trail in 2022, the 66-mile trail offers paddlers a captivating experience of floating through areas that were once traversed by Patriots engaged in guerrilla warfare against the Loyalists.
